These fish dishes come from the Saint-Clément earthenware workshops. In mixed tones of light gray and blue, they are decorated with an enamel fish. This object full of character can of course be used for serving, but also be placed as a decorative element or storage compartment on a beautiful row.
The fish dish is a Saint-Clément production. It is in very good condition. Traces of use are visible on the surface of the enamel. We have 2 dishes of this model, sold by the piece.

In the wind of modernity that drives the 50s and 60s, potters and ceramists are not left out! They invent and reinvent the shapes of terracotta objects, playing with the composition of the enamels to obtain new colors or textures. The Lorraine earthenware of Saint Clément is linked to that of Lunéville. In Lunéville, fine earthenware is produced, often common and classic, services and patterned plates. Meanwhile, Saint Clément invents shapes and colors. In the second half of the 20th century, Jacques Roux and Blanche Letalle explored the stylistic possibilities of earthenware. In a spare and innovative style, the latter will offer vases with organic shapes, often with monochrome or two-tone enamels.
