Each bookend features a beautifully crafted copper figurine mounted on a rectangular onyx marble base. The figurine in each bookend depicts a director's chair with a tennis racquet leaning against it, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail that Curtis Jere is celebrated for. The onyx marble bases are polished, except for the front, which remains raw, this results in a stunning juxtaposition of texture, color, and finish that enhances the visual appeal of the bookends. The polished surfaces contrast beautifully with the natural, unrefined front, creating a dynamic interplay of smooth and rough textures.
