This pair of two vintage 1986 Art Deco style David Fisher black chalkware Modernist horse bookend sculptures is an incredibly special and unique set to add to your collection.
The Art Deco style horse bookend sculptures are designed by David Fisher for Austin Productions, made in 1986 of cast chalkware. The beautiful Modernist style horse form sculptures are striking and impressive in the gorgeous black finish with deep eggplant aubergine purple burnished highlights in the incised relief design details.
The vintage Modernist bookend sculptures each measure 7" W X 2 3/4" D X 11 1/2" H. They are in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, and light signs of handling. There is some light corner wear on some of the lower bottom base corner edges. The original felted protective bottoms are still attached. Please see photos for condition reference.
