The delicate gold details add a beautiful touch to this already remarkable Tetradrachm piece. On the reverse side, there is an AOE and owl with an olive sprig and crescent moon in the upper left corner; there is an incuse square around the image. On the obverse side is the profile of Athena. This type of coin is from Athens, Greece between 440-420 BC that would buy luxuries such as jewelry, horses or weapons - it was considered worth four times a man's daily wage.
