It features a young Apollo, from Greek mythology, depicted with a lyre in his hand.
Apollo embodies youth, beauty and harmony.
This superb sculpture is casted with wonderful details in gilt bronze and mounted on a gilt spelter base.
It is fitted with an oval ochre colour shade that complements perfectly the bronze colour of the statue.

Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917) was a French sculptor born in Dijon.
The third and youngest son of sculptor and painter Jean-Baptiste Moreau, Auguste began creating sculptural works alongside his older brothers Hippolyte and Mathurin.
