Vintage: C1950s-early 1960s, Original Salviati, Italian hand-blown Murano, grouping of 3 birds perched on differing heights of a tree limb branch. This luscious and iconic Murano accent; a solidly artistic feat of wonder and decor center or accent piece, has wonderful colorations, and clear distinctive qualities of a master Murano glass blower. Each one, of which defines themselves in independent, and a well-rounded, defined body of work, intrinsically, ensconced and identifiable all onto themselves, based on the imagery and process', with and addition to added material utilized in it's distinct verification. Such as Salviati is known for the process of making these birds perched on limbs, which have been blown from Murano glass, in this case the tree branch limb, is clear with gold dust inclusion, while the birds, with defined beaks, and yes, have been given or offset in a sage or warm chartreuse to celadon green gradation, with bubble and gold dust inclusions, solid in their mass, i.e. body, and hand applied onto the mainframe limb, balanced and proportioned, much like tension in any sculptural form, hence the tree branch limb, pulls and leaves, which are weighty and solid in it's uniform shape, in order to withstand the weight of the 3 birds, while also elegant, and sophisticated, but with all the whimsy and skill needed to pull off such a feat. Polished pontil base bottom, with a slight concave circular for....IF need be we may replace an image to showcase the base bottom, inquire within for nay additional images needed. In excellent condition, no flea bites or chips. The "only," thing one might see are the inner striations of the process, gold dust, clear with green colorations infused, and ending in the backside of the birds tail feathers, also used as balance, either for birds, and in addition to logistical how the birds are perched, to with stand an overall universal effect of beauty, personified and enhanced with he skills of a master Murano Glass Blower of excellence. Nuanced colorations may take on darker or lighter hue intensified, or diffused by natural light, and /or with electrified lighting. less
