New York based artist, Matthew Izzo (b. 1971) currently living in the Hudson Valley NY region. Izzo explores the process of art making through chance and random occurrences. Using a direct approach to his medium such as gestures and movement he creates exuberantly colorful abstract paintings. Drawing his inspiration from landscapes of the Hudson Valley as well as his travels.
Using oil and acrylic paints bold brush strokes and patterns.
Izzo has been exhibiting his paintings in Galleries for 30+ years.
