A studio pottery coin bank by American ceramic artist Gerald Patrick. This anthropomorphic piece features an oblong rounded body with sunken eyes and a long snout. Signed to the underside.
From Gerald's website:
"Starting out as a potter in Los Angeles, Jerry’s work became well known internationally. Mikasa discovered him and for the next 30 years, his name became synonymous with luxury tableware. From Mikasa work came other luxury companies including Lenox, Yamazaki, Reed and Barton and Cambridge Silversmith.
