The artist is an avid gardener, although she has to stick to plants that the rabbits and deer won't eat! Garden Party is her abstract imagining of what she might grow, if she only had a place on the property that she could fence.
This acrylic painting is on gallery wrapped canvas. It is initialed on the front and signed on the back, and has a UV protective varnish. It is in a natural maple floater frame, which is wired and ready to hang.
Laurie MacMillan has enjoyed numerous awards and solo exhibitions, and has had pieces selected for over a hundred juried group shows. Her work is held in personal and business collections across the U.S., and in Canada and England.
