Produced from paper mache, wood … more Exceptional model of the cockchafer (melolontha melolontha). Very large edition and in very nice condition. Produced from paper mache, wood and plastic. Separate removable wings made of wood and fabric. The intestines are also removable. Wings hinge open. Legs and mouthparts are movable. Considering the details and craftsmanship, this is most likely a German model (presumably Somso). Mounted on a heavy and therefore sturdy stand with copper details. In addition to being a collector's item, it is also a real work of art. In open condition: width: 110cm. Height: 90cm. Depth: 70cm. The whole weighs approximately 12kg. less
