Tito Agnoli Cane and Patinated Cognac leather dining room chairs, Italy 1966 Tito Agnoli designed a set of six dining room chairs made of walnut, patinated cognac leather, and cane in Italy 1968. These chairs exhibit exceptional Italian Mid-Century design, featuring the back upholstered with hexagon cane, which looks excellent and provides vital support for the sitter. The patinated cognac leather seats adds a touch of luxury to the chairs. These high-quality dining room chairs deserve to be a focal point in any dining area. Tito Agnoli (1931-2012), also known as Giovanni Battista Agnoli, is celebrated as one of the most significant Italian designers of modern lighting. Born in 1931 in Lima, Peru, two years after his parents emigrated there due to the political situation in Italy, Agnoli moved to Milan in 1947. He initially pursued art lessons and then studied engineering and architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. Throughout his career, Agnoli was an assistant for Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli. from the 1950s onwards, Agnoli created numerous ambitious design projects for companies such as O-Luce, Arflex, Poltrona Frau, and Matteo Grassi. His designs have been nominated for the Compasso d'Oro award several times and are now part of the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York.
