Oversize "Tappeto Volante" Murano Chandelier by Venini, 90s This chandelier is custom-made because usually it is 2 meters long, this one is 3 meters long. Of an understated and essential elegance, the “Nastro” is a flat element drawn by hand; its surface is lightly grooved, thus concealing the light source. Tappeto Volante was conceived to create suspended luminous surfaces using the glass “Nastro” elements. The glass elements are fastened to a flexible metal structure, anchored to the ceiling by means of steel cables . There are infinite possibilities for varying the shape, curvature, and length. Tappeto Volante is available in versions with a rigid module, where the curvature is predefined, and with a flexible structure, in which the curvatures are adjustable. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
