A stunning French 1930 art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by the famous Paris based company of Francis Hubens. A beautiful mount holds four Degue slip shades in clear frosted molded-pressed glass.
Francis Hubens was producer of art deco lighting in Paris (at 68 rue des Archives). He mainly used Degué made shades. This model slip shade is unsigned. And represented in both Hubens and Degué product catalogs, model #505. Note the beautiful match of the decoration of shades and bronze mount.
The chandelier has a drop of 83 cm (32,68 inches) and a diameter of 62 cm (24,4"). It is in excellent condition. The fixture has been re-nickeled and patinated and it is newly wired. It holds four American candelabra base sockets.
