This absolutely stunning rug was hand crafted in the Shekarlu sub-sect of Qashqai. Shekarlu rugs are known for being very unique, almost random, all over design. The reason some refer to their design as random is because generally there is not one general theme throughout the carpet; the artist literally created the rug as he saw fit. The rugs border is the standard Shekarlu border and the hooks along with the deep navy background is also very common in Shekarlu design. These rugs are hard to come by and are very precious to some.
