A fine antique Victorian English table box.
In brown leather with a wood lined interior.
With applied triangular sterling silver mounts to the corners.
The mounts marked for the James Brothers, London, sterling silver, and 1877.
The front with a silver-plated brass escutheon plate and a functional lock and key.
The base with a cloth pad.
Simply a wonderful English box!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There is a lightly perfumed fragrance to the interior.
There is some over-polishing to the corners of the escutcheon plate, some small spots of wear of loss to the leather (principally near the foot). Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
