This piece of … more Small all-sided display case in mahogany veneer decorated with marquetry of rosewood, light wood, rosewood and ebony. This piece of furniture has a door whose glass is surrounded by scalloped bronze rods. This door is equipped with a functional lock with ornate bronze entry and key. The interior offers two adjustable shelves on racks. The upper crossbar of this piece of furniture has rosewood marquetry surrounded by light wood and rosewood fillets. In the center, a geometric pattern with ebony catches the eye. The uprights of this piece of furniture are garnished with bronze scraps in the upper part and inlaid with light wood and rosewood fillets as a trompe l'oeil effect. The lower crossbar is decorated with a bronze trim formed by a rosette and acanthus leaves. This display case rests on covered legs fitted with brass shoes. It is topped with a purple breccia marble with a groove.
This Louis XVI display case is remarkable for its small size.
