This storage box was used to keep dried tea or tea leaves fresh. The wooden box is elegantly designed and traditionally finished with black/red urushi lacquer. The original storage chest features a hand-painted family crest and calligraphy.

This tea box will be an authentic decorative accent in any interior, exuding a serene Japanese atmosphere. Due to its age, there are imperfections, as shown in the photos. However, these do not detract from its decorative use. less
