The storage/transport chest opens with a removable panel. Inside, there are five shelves provided.

The chest is easy to transport with the metal handle on top.

The panel is painted on both sides with Japanese calligraphy. The date is also mentioned here: March 10, Meiji 2 (1869).

This storage chest was originally used for storing copper or bronze items.
