Marcel breuer and carlo scarpa delfi marble and glass table manufactured by cassina (italy) elegance of line the design table with rectangular top reflects the re-design of a rationalist model created by marcel breuer in the 1930s. Subsequently, in 2009, tobia scarpa proposed the new glass topped table thus offering a valuable aesthetic solution that magnified the sculptural elegance of the shapes, allowing the refined brass supports and the fluting in the marble bases to be seen. Top float glass or marble. Feet monolithic carved marble legs. Delfi forms part of the ultrarazionale collection, which was launched in 1968, and is composed of sculptural pieces designed by carlo scarpa, typified by his signature attention to detail and choice of materials. This table is a re- design of a rationalist model created by marcel breuer in the 1930s for dino gavina’s residence in bologna. At the end of the 1960s, scarpa began to re- examine the original concept, effecting some variations, in agreement with the designer. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
