This clock was made during the first half of the 18th century by Nicolas Fortin. It is signed on the movement plate “N. Fortin Paris.”

The case is nicely made from wood and gilt bronze.

The casing was very rationally constructed. The front panel with the movement and dial can be simply taken out by switching 3 inner clips (see photos).

The case has 2 hole bronze looks on the lower, 4 gilt bronze feet, and a nice gilt bronze bezel.

The dial is nicely made from porcelain.

The clock was last serviced in 2021. It ran when recently tested. The chime on the hour and hour hits a bell on top of the movement. It has a nice sound

The clock is quite gorgeous and appears to have been well cared for. There are some signs of normal wear and age, such as a chip in the back top corner of the wooden case.
