A sweet set of three small claw bells featuring botanical motif etched into brass. Finish is as found, natural brass with some patina. The smallest bell shows remnants of the red painted finish it once wore.
Originating in India, these bells were traditionally hung from elephants to warn people of the approach of the sizeable animal. Likely produced in the 1950s.
