Its founder in 1941, José Morillo, was the creator, among other beautiful pieces, of this type of pot with the emblematic and unmistakable design of handles with knotted fabric in relief, which became the image of Malaga craftsmanship. The pottery was originally located in Colonia Santa Inés, within the premises of the important and historic Santa Inés ceramics factory, founded in 1879. Hermanos Morillo's ceramic pieces have decorated such emblematic places as Picasso's Birthplace and the Museum of Popular Arts, reflecting its deep roots in Malaga culture.
