I bought these chairs 60 years ago. I believe they were old at that time. I was living in NYC … more I bought these chairs 60 years ago. I believe they were old at that time. I was living in NYC at the time but preparing to marry and move to a home in NJ. I used to enjoy checking out this antique and collectible shop in my neighborhood.. The proprietor used to go to auctions of unclaimed customs imports and he said this was where he got these. I fell in love with them immediately and purchased them. We never managed to hold dinner parties where I could show these off. They sat in the dining room barely used except for a few occasions. I think they might have been refurbished when I bought them because the Rattan seats and backs look pristine less
