Description: We are selling this old master landscape painting. This painting features a very dark 17th or 16th century landscape scene … more We are selling this old master landscape painting. This painting features a very dark 17th or 16th century landscape scene with a lady and a goat on the left side and a man with a herd of sheep to the right that is very difficult to see. The painting has Swanevelt written on the back, an attribution to Herman Van Swanevelt (Dutch 1603-1655) who painted landscapes. We think it may be after him, probably circa 1700.

Condition: Has been re-lined. Heavy varnish coat on the painting with heavy darkening, some losses to the oil around the edges. Some old damages and repairs. Painting is too small for the frame.
