This is modern Ming style credenza by White Furniture is great looking. White Furniture was a prominent southern furniture company that was founded in the late 1800s. It was the first post civil war era southern furniture company to receive a government contract because of its commitment to excellent craftsmanship. It created furniture for many prominent homes and businesses that include the Green Briar. It merged in the 1990s to become Hickory White Furniture, which is still in production today. The solid brass hardware is original, and the painted lacquered finish appears to simulate goatskin. It is marked.
