Signed by the artist lower right. Framed. Jirokichi Kasagi was a Japanese watercolourist, born in Kanazawa in 1870. Kasagi was an author of genre, peasant and hunting scenes. Kasagi trained in drawing technique in Yokohama under the direction of Horyu Goseda before settling in Europe. Most of Kasagis works that remained in Japan were destroyed during the Second World War except for a few that remain in Mitsumasa Takanos collection. One of a kind artwork.
