Dennis Finch Hatten, Karen Blixen (aka Isak Dinesen), Beryl Markham, may have been his contemporaries ….. This original portrait was skillfully rendered by artist David Ewing and is signed/dated 2002 in the upper right corner. I love everything about this painting…. all the exquisite details….The hunter’s steely blue eyed gaze, the burning embers of the cigar, the gleaming signet ring, safari khakis and leather sheathed hunting knife.
