The print features a stunning Geisha Girl dressed in traditional colorful clothing highlighted yellow and blues offsetting her black hair with the white chrysanthemum , surrounded by vibrant cherry blossoms and distant mountains.

This is a rare find in such nice condition, for both the print and the black and gold professionally installed wood frame and matting under protective glass. It measures 14” x 18.5” with wire hanger.

The artwork, created in the 1950s, showcases the artist's enormous talent and devotion to detail.

The print is from the shin-haga period and was printed by Uchida. The Shin-hanga art movement in Japan took place during the Taishō (1912–1926) and Shōwa (1926–1989) periods. The movement was a revival of traditional Japanese woodblock printing, also known as ukiyo-e, that incorporated Western influences. Shin-hanga translates to "new prints" and aimed to create high-quality prints that appealed to both domestic and international audiences. See less
