The fully functional, solid oak roll-door ticket cabinet has 9 removable metal chutes we assume held or guided the tickets to be dispensed; and there are 25 removable metal clips on the crossbars above.

The ticket cabinet and map table came from a long-time resident and antiques collector in the Washington DC area who acquired them when the Railroad closed some of their maintenance facilities and warehouses in the 1960s. We don’t know where they were actually used but we assume they were in the DC / Maryland area. less
