19th century steamer trunk -- dome topped and oak banded with insert. This trunk is beautiful and in remarkable shape for its age. The insert is still completely in tact as are the leather handles and casters on the bottom. The trunk rolls smoothly and easily. The paper on the interior certainly shows its age but is still all there! The insert panels all open and shut as intended. The oak bands and the embossed tin are still in good shape with no significant damage, only a lovely patina. There are some scratches on the front left panel, as pictured.
This beautiful antique trunk measures 32" x 22" x 18".
Beautiful display piece and still completely functional. This gorgeous old trunk is truly a testament to Victorian craftsmanship and design. less
