The German painter Carl Plinke was born on April 14, 1867 in Hannover. from 1887 he was a student at … more The German painter Carl Plinke was born on April 14, 1867 in Hannover. from 1887 he was a student at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. In the 10s of the twentieth century he had a ''Atelier für decorative Malerie in his hometown. Plinke is known for his landscapes, interiors and history paintings. Plinke's death cannot be easily traced. In 1943 his name was last mentioned in the ''Adressbuch der Stadt Hannover'' with the profession ''kunstmaler''. He may have died in the major bombing of that city on September 27, 1943, which killed more than 1,200 civilians.
