Shamaï Haber is a Jewish artist of Polish origin who worked in
Paris, France and abroad from 1949 to 1995. He is known
for his monumental and landscape sculptures and compositions. His sculptures are made from a variety of raw materials: granite
slate and steel. He was awarded the Prix Bourdelle in 1959. He has also numerous drawings, paintings and collages. We should also mention his humanist work, namely the creation of the Berlin gates in June 1989 to bring down the Berlin Wall, and the mosaic of peace stones for all the countries of Europe, which is now being realized in Montenegro.
