- These arrived at our shop about a week ago. we brought it to a local glass blowing school -Benzaiten Creative … more These arrived at our shop about a week ago. we brought it to a local glass blowing school -Benzaiten Creative Arts school to help with the history of these lamps. I knew they were 60s Italian glass, but i wanted the artist if possible. As i was walking in with the lamps, the head instructor says, OMG what a beautiful pair of Seguso lamps and the mystery was solved before i even began my quest. He showed me the details that made these so special. To start, the minerals are all different to get the three colors to blend this way. Once they glass is blown and set, it is twisted after it cools slightly. Then they are cured in a oven at an even lower temp, and finally the base is polished. This lamp does not need a lucite base. The polish on the bottom, the weight on top really make these special. He then showed his class what the Italian masters have created, and i left feeling very special, knowing this is a very highly sought after piece. On other platforms these sell for 4-6K each. I am pricing these as a pair to sell, and i hope you enjoy them. less
