Faience vase by Rörstrand (1895 - 1910), designed by Alf Wallander. Brand stamp on the base. The vase is in good condition. No chipping on the upper rim, no cracks. Alf Wallander was born in 1862 and died in 1914. From 1895 to 1910 he worked for Rörstrand, among others. The "all-round artist" began his artistic career with pastel painting, but under the influence of Ellen Key's reform ideas and the English Arts and Crafts movement, he turned to arts and crafts from 1894. In addition to furniture and textiles for the leading Swedish arts and crafts and furnishing company A. B. Svensk Konstslöjdutställning S.Giöbel, he produced porcelain items for Rörstrands porslinsfabrik, which were also exhibited at the major world exhibitions, such as in Paris in 1900. less
