This is a beautiful vintage German lithographic rounded top tin box made by Schmidt. These were put out annualy by a biscuit cookie company in Germany and are quite collectible. This one features German bakers from around the middle ages making and selling bread products, and also has litho pictures of kings, carts, sellers and villagers -- mostly as related to the selling, buying or use of bread making, bread selling or bread-related items in general.
I have owned and seen a number of these in the past and this one rates about and 8.5-9+ out of 10 condition-wise. The inside bottom of the tin and the outside bottom of the tin both have a fair sized rust spot -- I have not tried to remove that rust. The lithographic images are in great to excellent condition! Many people collect and display these, and also use them to store items of special personal value.
This is one of the larger ones, measuring 12 1/4" x 6 3/4" x 8". You can tell this one has been well taken cared of, and stored outside of sunlight because the lithographic colors are bright and vivid! The lid is hinged and fits snugly when closed, just as it should.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
