Please take a close look at this one...it is a super unique cast iron antique hand pump water pump with a dragon head spout! If you look closely at the top you can see where the top metal ring has had what appears to be some repair to cracks, but it's integrity seems strong. Pumping using the water handle does not phase the repair, though I am guessing a buyer would be getting this more for decor than actual use. It could use repainting, but as with all true antiques, I do not refinish them as they are worth more to most buyers in their original condition -- patina and all in place. The hand pump works as it should. There is a plunger inside to form a vaccuum to bring water up from underneath the ground (or for slightly more than decorative purposes, from a small man-made pond, water barrel, etc. There is already a gasket on the bottom to ensure proper suction. The last screws/bolts used to mount the pump remain in place for possible use by the new owner. I am almost positive you won't find another like this by googling, with the exception that there is a similar one on Worthpoint, where one must pay to join to see prices for rare antiques that have sold in the past -- I am not a member and do not wish to pay dues to that organization.
It measures about 13 1/2" tall, and the width from the hand pump to the end of the dragon head nozzle is about 9" (of course, this is with the handle in the closed position -- minimum width measurement).
I know most like to use antiques as-is, but if I were to use it I'd probably repaint it all black, but color the dragon eyes either a bright yellow or dark red. less
