- Condition: Overall this desk is in very good condition. I would rate it an 8.5-9 of 10. It has been … moreCondition: Overall this desk is in very good condition. I would rate it an 8.5-9 of 10. It has been refinished to remove as many flaws as possible without major reconstruction. It is protected in durable satin lacquer for 60+ more years of daily use. Structurally sound & clean. Flaws/Signs of Life thus far : - Minor random pitting on the desk top (very small indentations in the wood). - One area on the 'far' right corner of the top where it appears there was a potted plant or something similar has left a bit of warping under the top & a very faded ring of darker wood that would not come out during refinishing. - The left side middle drawer handle was damaged & has been sanded down so that +/- 25% of the 'eyelid' is missing. **Please see detailed photos in the listing that circle these 3 flaws in yellow. It's important to recognize/remember that most of these would only be visible under close scrutiny & that they essentially 'disappear' if you're not looking for them. less

Research shows this beautiful piece to be designed by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Mobelfabrik in the 1960's. Model # FM 60.
Quintessential mid century danish straight lines & smooth curves with an elegant floating top. Fully Finished bookshelf back allows you to float this piece in the middle of a room & admire it from every angle.
This desk is the perfect size...not too huge, plenty of storage & an ample workspace.
6 drawers with sculpted wood 'eyelid' pulls. The top 2 drawers are locking & a key is included. 3 open bookshelf compartments on the rear of the desk.
