It was in remarkably excellent condition, in spite of the time and distance. It has been thoroughly cleaned, oiled and freshly polished. I made a small repair to a section of the double raised border that had split, to good effect, and nearly undetectable. The inner case was air-blown, wiped with moist cloth and given two coats of spray shellack, to seal off any stale odors. Three coats of hand rubbed clear satin polyurethane have been applied to the inside of every drawer, to give it’s Mahogany bottoms a warm glow and a soft, pleasing feel. less
