Broken Mirror is a mirror born in 2017 from the meeting between Gufram and the New York studio Snarkitecture. The reflective surface is surrounded by a soft polyurethane frame – a direct reference to the Gufram material par excellence, creating an alienating optical effect as if the room were opening up on the outside world or on another environment. The polyurethane that frames the mirror is hewn entirely by hand, which is why each Black Mirror is slightly different from the other, and therefore a unique piece.
Broken Mirror is a mirror that does not abandon its function, but enriches it and
transforms, becoming an art object and going beyond the boundaries of direct correspondence
