silver tested slightly higher than sterling
period between the late 1800s and early 1900s
Intricate embossed hand work and scrolls decorations
in quite detailed relief
decoration on the lid depicts tiny heads of stylized birds
the thickness of the silver is considerable
The box is solid and in very good condition for its age with minimal signs of aging and patina
the inside is blackened due to betel paste residue
it closes perfectly
weighs 111.7 g
measures 9 x 4.7 x 5 cm
