They depict the four seasons, each plate with a different image. All are marked and numbered on the underside A Mottahedeh design, Italy S. 5104. Mottahedeh was a leader in luxury ceramic decorative items and historic designs. They held the license to many classic designs and made pieces for the White House, the State Department and Diplomatic Corps as well as museums.
