Description: Sinclaire Glass Decanter and Stopper Gift - circa 1904–28, Corning, NY. Bottle and stopper marked with acid etched letter "S" … more Sinclaire Glass Decanter and Stopper Gift - circa 1904–28, Corning, NY. Bottle and stopper marked with acid etched letter "S" inside a laurel wreath, the mark of the Corning, New York glass maker H. P. Sinclaire (1864-1928). The bottle is numbered 208/3-1 on the underside and 8 on the opening. The stopper has a matching incised number 8 on the lower tip next to the "S" mark. H. P. Sinclaire glass pieces are quite rare outside of museum collections, decanters more so. We have seen examples of H. P. Sinclaire glass in the Metropolitan Museum as well as in the Corning Glass Museum collections. This is a heavy and substantial piece weighing almost 4 1/2 lbs. unpacked. In very good condition with shelf wear and minor imperfections as shown.
