Entitled "Pink Wisteria", this 2016 archival abstracted still life of garden flowers photograph on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper is by contemporary Mendocino/Bay Area artist, Gaétan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of Lost Art Salon in San Francisco. "I have a weak spot for gorgeous flowers, wild or garden. This Wisteria is particularly spectacular in bloom each spring as it climbs an old walnut tree just outside the kitchen window." Gaétan captures most of his nature-inspired images in the surroundings of his off-the-grid home/work studio located in an heirloom orchard in the Mendocino hills of Northern California, a stone's throw from the wild California Coast. His work documents the textures, colors, forms, as well as monochromatic shadows and reflections found in nature through contemporary abstract, botanical, still life, landscape, seascape and portrait Fine Art photography.
