Entitled "Like Two Peas in a Pod (Ce n'est pas la fleur des pois)", this 2013 archival photograph on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper is by contemporary Mendocino/Bay Area artist, Gaétan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of Lost Art Salon in San Francisco. "Gardening in California has the advantage of producing vegetables all year around. There seems to always be enough sun and warmth for flowers to bloom. The image of the flowers of the peas highlights spring for me." Gaétan captures most of his images in the surroundings of his off-the-grid home/work studio located in an heirloom orchard in the Mendocino hills of Northern California, a stone's throw from the wild California Coast. His work documents the textures, colors, forms, as well as monochromatic shadows and reflections found in nature through contemporary abstract, botanical, still life, landscape, seascape and portrait Fine Art photography. Produced in 6 size formats.
