The lithograph print poster is published by the famous Galerie Andre Emmerich Zurich. printed in 1973 in an unnumbered limited edition by the venerable Poster Originals Limited, No. 140. It features an Abstract Expressionist artwork image originally created by Louis in 1960 titled " Delta Epsilon ".

This is a rare opportunity for true Morris Louis and Mid Century Modernism fans and collectors both as this coveted image exhibition poster print is long out of print and very scarce to find.

Morris Louis Bernstein ( 1912 - 1962 ) the American Abstract Expressionist Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent became one of the earliest exponents and leading figures in the 1950's of " Color Field " paintings, along with his contemporaries Kenneth Noland and Helen Frankenthaler. He was one of the founding members of the Washington D.C. area painters known today as " The Washington Color School ".

In his short yet prolific career, Louis continually experimented with method and medium, manipulating large canvases in creative ways to control the flow and stain of his paints. His mature style, characterized by layered veils and rivulets of poured paint on untreated canvases, make his paintings some of the most iconic works of Mid Century Modern Color Field Painting. Artworks by Louis are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

In 1962 Evelyn and Leo Farland founded their infamous New York poster gallery and publishing business " Poster Originals Ltd. ". They created groundbreaking innovation and lasting effects with their pioneering approach to the poster industry from the early 1960's through the late 1980's. They worked with the leading American and European artists, international museums and top galleries collaborating to create some of the most iconic and important art posters of the Mid Century Modern, Pop Art, Abstract Expressionist, and Contemporary art movements. This Morris Louis poster print is a beautiful example of Poster Originals finest work.

The rare out of print framed Abstract Expressionist exhibition poster print measures 36" W X 26 7/8" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish slim profile detail black metal box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
