This November 1947 etching on paper seascape of Hoboken, New Jersey entitled "Lackawanna Ferry" is by Santa Fe native artist Seymour Tubis (1919-1993). Tubis studied at the Art Students League with Hans Hofmann (1946-1949). He exhibited in Paris in 1950 and won praise from Georges Braque. He was Chair of the Fine Art Department at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe (1963-1980).
Signed, dated, titled on bottom. Edition 9/17.
