Description: Chinese porcelain lotus flower yuhuchunping, a finely formed, pear shaped vase with a blue and white glazed exterior, and a … more Chinese porcelain lotus flower yuhuchunping, a finely formed, pear shaped vase with a blue and white glazed exterior, and a white glazed interior and inset base. The interior rim has a narrow band of repeating, blue, curly vines . The neck is decorate with a band of large leafy lappets above a band of cloud and thunder meanders, and a larger band of four lotus flowers amid leafy vines, bracketed by double trim lines and a band of leafy vines matching that of the inner rim. Four, finely painted, large, lotus flower medallions are quartered around the body of the vase amid intertwining, leafy vines, separated by small, Buddhist roses alternately placed above and below. Two of the large lotus medallions are composed of petals only and two have petals with a central ovule of seven spirals around a small bud. The lower part of the vase has a narrow band of vines matching those of the inner rim and neck. Just above the short, extended foot there is a band of large, blue, Ru Yi lappets. A four character, Yongle, reign mark within a circle surrounded by double ribbons is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu circular stand is included. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
