Working in a modernist, impressionistic style, Gordon depicts the Delta King juxtaposed against the Sacramento skyline. NOTE: the Delta King is now a floating, entertainment hotel.

Bud Gordon was born in 1948 in Keokuk, Iowa. He has lived in Sacramento since 1960. He is a graduate of UC Davis 1977 with a BA degree in Art Studio. While the subject matter of Gordon's work is as varied as his mediums, his interest in the surface and in texture is what unites his work.
