Made in Italy
This rare piece of vintage Italian pottery was made by Bellini and exported by Rosenthal Netter.
Bellini artisans built this piece by hand on a pottery wheel, then painted it by hand with saturated turquoise, blues, and greens in a fish scale motif. The color palette and design sensibilities are similar to those of Bitossi Pottery of the same era.
Although I have found other pieces of Bellini pottery (often misidentified as Bitossi / Raymor) painted in this same motif, I have not seen another vase like this one.
This vase is large enough to function as an umbrella holder or a floor vase, as well as a table vase.

CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with the exception of one flea bite at the bottom edge. (Please see last photo.)
