A lovely circa 1901 English textured porcelain/china match striker with sterling silver rim and cartouche. The body is in a good condition with just a few tiny dints to the silver. There is a spot of discoloration on the left-hand side, probably from someone dropping a lit match and singeing the body of the striker a bit. The silver top rim and blank cartouche are fully hallmarked for Sterling silver assayed in Chester in the year 1901.
